Away We Go

I leave tomorrow (technically today) for Mozambique with a group of AMAZING people. I am so incredibly excited about everything the Lord has in store for us and how I get to love on some people.

We are leaving Atlanta around 9 pm for London. LONDON. First of all, I’ve never been to Africa or Europe, so I get to knock both out in one trip! We have a long layover, so we get to explore the city for around 5-6 hours. What?!

We leave London, again, around 9 pm for Johannesburg, South Africa. Karla, I can not tell you how freaking excited I am about this. Especially since I WILL find and obtain Red Label Lemon Creams!! (http://tinyurl.com/cpd7ckt)

And then finally, we fly from Johannesburg to Maputo, Mozambique.

We have a tentative schedule, but I am absolutely fine with that. After-all, I am adaptability strength #1. Holler.

Anywho, we will be there for 20 days and returning the night of the 16th . Please keep us in your prayers! If you want updates, spam my mom with emails (be kind) at tk32847@gmail.com and she may or may not find it in the kindess of her heart to send you one :) Y’all are great! Thank you for all the support you’ve shown me, both prayerfully and financially. It means so much.

Also, I guess I should tack this on. As some of you know, I applied to the University of Illinois at Chicago for their Biomedical Visualization program. Well, found out just this week that I was accepted! After (unfortunately) a very short period of time to consider enrolling for this fall or interning at Wesley for a second year, I have decided that Chicago is the best choice for me at this time. I know the Lord is going to do great things in Chicago, for me and through me! I am very excited about it, even though it has made me incredibly sad to think about the Athens family I am leaving behind.

So here’s the deal Athenians. In three weeks, when I get back from Mozambique. We are hanging out ALL THE TIME. Get ready. Lord knows I am :)
